What Really Is Internet Marketing ?

Regardless of the size, majority of businesses nowadays are practicing Internet marketing. That’s because it is the most inexpensive and possibly cheapest way for them to reach millions of their target market.

But What is Internet Marketing Really?
Most newbie views  internet marketing as an online platform for making tons of cash overnight

I totally agree with Bel Pesce who said "overnight success is a result of what you have done till the current moment".
Funny enough why people go into internet/online marketing without knowing what it really entails and later complain of no making reasonable profit online

So What Really is internet Marketing ?
Internet or Online marketing as you may prefer involves Placing your business or product on the Internet, "promoting and advertising" it to millions of users to access so that you can in turn maximize your sales and business potential.

What makes internet marketing unique:
Lot of people wants to go into internet marketing so quickly, have you bothered asking yourself  or others why internet marketing ?

I bet 99.9% are into online marketing to make lot of money(including me, I mean you, no I😁😁).
It's no problem as most business are set up for profits.
The convenience of internet marketing, easiness, and autopilot cash makes internet marketing highly distinguished among businesses.
The ability to set your own time path, be your own boss, work few hours, sleep off while tons of cash keeps "piling up" and "swimming" into your bank account and doing other pleasurable stuffs your offline works stops you from doing, it's a great feeling I can tell.

If you are yet to kick start your internet marketing career or you've probably  been having ups and down experiences profiting online, believe me when I tell you I know exactly how that feels.
I have therefore decided to help others achieve something with internet marketing, sounds great.

Internet Marketing Might Suck

A lot of people tell me, hey I did this and that and still no positive with internet marketing, I then actually try to have little chats with those giving the complaint and believe me 80% fail because they keep ignoring the very little things in "marketing" i.e failing to respect the people they are marketing to,
What do I mean: Online marketers forget they are marketing and selling products to the same people that buys pizza, burger, sneakers, shampoo e.t.c, the same human beings that buys stuffs online also shop online or do they come from other planets ?, Did I hear you say maybe', you must be kidding right.
Basically the only difference between online and offline marketing is the physical appearance of customers you get offline. So the way you treat your customers online should be more better than the way they will be treated offline because they need trust, they don't know you, your home address, you met online unlike offline whereby I can attack you with the "Avengers" for selling out an expired product, don't be scared I can't go that far.
So if you can treat your potential buyers well, give them detailed information about the product your are selling or promoting, offer bonuses and other ways you know they can trust you a build a relationship with you, I mean a business relationship here.

How Can You Really Profit Marketing Online

Now here is the real deal with internet marketing, there are lot of strategies you can implement in your internet marketing campaigns, the frown factor is that some of these strategies get abused which will lead to changes in search engine algorithms, fear of purchasing online.
Here's what I mean:
Few years back, there was a proven tactics a street beggar can pull off and start generating incomes, but it actually led to spamming and search engines such as Google began this anti-spamming war.
Some creeps also abused internet marketing by selling out crappy products online for as high as $75 dollars to about 7,000 people according to a customer satisfaction research  to information starving crowd and this has actually reduced lot of peoples trust in online products.
Hey don't get disappointed, there are lot of strategies still out to get people purchase your products so far you do the right thing and give reasonable products thereby building your integrity online.

So What Are These Strategies:

Email marketing

Email marketing is directly sending a commercial message, typically to a group of people, using email. In its broadest sense, every email sent to a potential or current customer could be considered email marketing. It usually involves using email to send ads, request business, or solicit sales or donations, and is meant to build loyalty, trust, or brand awareness. Email marketing can be done to either sold lists or a current customer database.

Broadly, the term is usually used to refer to sending email messages with the purpose of enhancing the relationship of a merchant with its current or previous customers, to encourage customer loyalty and repeat business, acquiring new customers or convincing current customers to purchase something immediately, and adding advertisements to email messages sent by other companies to their customers.  Email provides you the most direct line of communication for conversion to sales … which is why the most savvy content marketers have no intention of giving it up any time soon.
All of us are far too familiar with email newsletters that waste our time, email pitches that annoy us, and downright spam. Those don’t work.
What works is a value exchange — your valuable information for your prospect’s valued time. Your subscribers need to know they can trust you … that you’re not a soulless self-promoting spam-bot.

Good email content deepens your relationship with your audience through effective subject line writing (which get your messages opened); your distinctive voice (which gets your messages read); and delivering quality, niche-specific content your prospect needs and shares with others (which inspires referrals and word-of-mouth).
The great thing about having a list is you can always be making money, all you need is an offer that you can sell to your mailing list and then send it to them.

Social media marketing

Social media marketing is the use of social media platforms to market a product or service, these platform are very popular taking of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and whichever ones you know. Most of these social platforms have their own built-in analytics, where companies can track the progress, success, and engagement of ad campaigns.

Here are six ways you can make money on social media.

1. Promote affiliate products.

No matter what industry you're in, you can find great products to promote on ClickBank. And if that doesn't quite jive with you, you can also become an Amazon Associate, promote products of your choosing and earn commissions on them -- Amazon has no shortage of products.
Next, instead of spamming links on Twitter and hoping for the best, keep in mind that the most honest and effective way of promoting affiliate products is through reviews. If you personally use a product and like it, and know that your followers serve to benefit from it, then write a long-form review on your blog, and share why you like the product. Don't be afraid to talk about what you like and don't like about it. You can even use video if that's more your style.
Also make sure to disclose your affiliate relationships. This is a legal requirement in most cases, but it's also "best practice." Your readers or viewers will appreciate your honesty.

2. Create and promote your own information products.

If you already have a blog, and you've demonstrated your expertise on a specific subject over a period of time, there may be an opportunity to create an eBook, audio program or video course and sell it to your audience. Social media is the perfect place to promote such a product. As with anything, quality is key to creating something people not only want to read, but will pay to read. If you take extra care in creating great information, designing and promoting it well, you will definitely see more sales.

3. Promote products and services.

There are many opportunities for you to share sponsored posts that promote the products and services of other businesses. This is a very direct way of earning money from social media.
But, if you don't have a sizable following, this may not be much of an opportunity. You also have to beware of over-promoting products for want of money, because if your followers see that you're constantly tweeting about one product or another, not only will they not click on the links, they will also un-follow you.

4. Use visual media to promote your crafts.

If you tend to create handmade crafts, art pieces, or even articles of clothing and knitting, there may be an opportunity to showcase your products on social media. Instagram and Pinterest may seem like obvious places to hit, but Facebook, Twitter and Google+ are also great channels for sharing visual media.

Final thoughts

These are just some of the many ways you can make money with social media; there are plenty of other money-making websites for you to explore.
It's important to remember that making money on social media isn't necessarily easy. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to work hard, test and experiment, your chances at success will be far greater than the chances of those who just want to "give it a try" to see what happens.

Affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people's (or company's) products. You find a product you like, promote it to others, and earn a piece of the profit for each sale that you make. There are two ways to approach affiliate marketing: You can offer an affiliate program to others or you can sign up to be another business's affiliate. As the business driving an affiliate program, you'll pay your affiliates a commission fee for every lead or sale they drive to your website.

Inbound marketing

Inbound marketing is the promotion of a company or other organization through blogs, podcasts, video, eBooks, newsletters, whitepapers, SEO, physical products, social media marketing, and other forms of content marketing which serve to attract customers through the different stages of the purchase funnel. In contrast, buying attention,  cold-calling, direct paper mail, radio, TV advertisements, sales flyers, spam, telemarketing And traditional advertising are considered "outbound marketing".
"Inbound" refers to marketing activities that bring visitors in, rather than marketers having to go out to get prospects' attention. Inbound marketing earns the attention of customers, makes the company easy to be found, and draws customers to the website by producing interesting content. An important facet of inbound marketing is providing the customer with feedback channels to the company for creating both trustworthy relationships as well as for consultations and sales. This may be a phone number, a feedback form, live chat (e.g. Hip-chat, Live-chat, Live-agent), or an automatic free callback.
